About Lily Kunning, your community herbalist

Lily Kunning is a rebel with a cause: wellness. As a clinical herbalist, educator, and the fiery force behind Haven Herbs, she didn't just stumble into the plant world; she dove in headfirst.

Lily became interested in herbalism because it helped her when other modalities did not. First, she went into early perimenopause at age 32, and while her OB/GYN was dismissive and unhelpful, the local herbalist helped! Not only did cycles return and symptoms vanish- be she went on to have a kid at age 39, too!

Then, she was injured at work (computer related injuries) and once again- herbalism and acupuncture came to her rescue. It was then she decided that she should learn herbalism so she could help others the way she was helped.

After training in western herbalism in California, she moved to Columbus, OH- only to find a serious lack of herbalism. So, in true Lily fashion, she opened her own shop and started an Herbalists Without Border chapter. That legendary storefront (Boline Apothecary) paved the way for Haven Herbs.

Since transplanting herself in the midwest, she has also trained in Chinese medicine, pharmaceuticals, energetic medicine, mind-body medicine, and Ayurveda- making her a unique voice in holistic wellness and coaching.

At the helm, she is potion master, creating herbal remedies and body care with a transparent, no-BS approach. Her mission is to empower people with "the people's medicine," teaching classes, running an online school, and doing wellness consultations. 

In short, Lily Kunning is a punk-rock plant whisperer working to make the world and its inhabitants a healthier, more irreverent place.
