OTHER: Quinoa is both a super food that is edible in a variety of ways, as well as a lovely ornamental! The young juicy leaves can be harvested for greens, & have a salty spinach-like flavor. They have more iron than spinach too! The large showy flower heads turn to ornamental seed heads that are equally lovely. Cherry Vanilla is one of my favorites, with flowers & seed head is a wonderful variation of pinks from almost coral to bright & deep pink tones, mixed with a lovely cream color. Quinoa is grow as a grain crop for these seeds that have a mild nutty flavor. The seeds can be eaten cooked similar to rice, or ground into a flour. The seeds of Cherry Vanilla are white. Quinoa is a great health food that is high in protein & fiber, vitamins & minerals, & amino acids. Quinoa is gluten free, & high is a "complete" protein wonderful for vegans & vegetarians. The plants are able to tolerate drought & frost, as well as coastal conditions. Quinoa is originally native to The Andes Mountain region of South America where it has been grown as an edible for 5000 years. Quinoa has recently become wildly popular in The US & worldwide, & was named “The Plant of the Year” by the United Nations in 2013.

We post basic dosage guidelines, but keep in mind if you have more body mass or a faster metabolism than the average bear, you may need to take a larger dose than indicated. If there are hard-and-fast limitations on how often you can take the product, it will be listed on the package. Most can be used up to six times daily without problems (but we doubt that you would need to do that).
Remember, there are no "magic bullets" in life, and any product (herbal, pharmaceutical, or otherwise) claiming 100% success without knowing you, your constitution, and your lifestyle is lying and trying to get into your wallet. Often, herbalists (and MDs) need to try several products before we find the one that works for your unique biochemistry.
